The following links open up Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat documents that are related to the human geography topics covered within the course.  Some of these are required reading and some are not, please refer to the syllabus for the required readings.  At least one of the readings (Malthus in Africa) requires at least Adobe Acrobat 6.0.   Adobe Acrobat can be downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com/.
